Abstract: 

Due to the stochastic nature of wind energy, allocating an appropriate investment incentive FOR wind generation technology (WGT) is a complicated issue. We propose an improvement on the traditional incentive, known as capacity payment mechanism (CPM), to reward the wind generators based on their perFORmance exogenously affected by the wind energy potential of the location where the turbines are installed, and thereFORe, lead the investments towards locations with more generation potential. In CPM, a part of investment cost of each generator is recovered through fixed payments. However, in our proposal, wind generators are rewarded according to dynamic FORecasts of the wind energy potential of the wind farm where they are located. We use an auto-regressive moving average (ARMA) model to FORecast the wind speed fluctuations in long-term while capturing the auto-correlation of wind velocity variation in consecutive time intervals. Using the SYSTEM dynamics (SD) modelling approach a competitive electricity market is designed to examine the efficiency of the proposed incentive. PerFORming a simulation analysis, we conclude that while a fixed CPM FOR wind generation can decrease the loss of load durations and average prices in long-term, the proposed improvement can provide quite similar results more efficiently.

Abstract: 

(Lanthanum, Cerium) (Iron, Manganese, Cobalt, Palladium)(Oxygen)3- Perovskite catalyst was prepared by the citrate route and deposited on ceramic monoliths via dip coating procedure. The catalyst was applied on a car with XU7 motors and the amount of emission was monitored with vehicle emission test SYSTEMs in Sapco Company. The results were compared with the imported catalyst with noble metals such as palladium, platinum and rhodium by Iran Khodro Company based on the Euro III standards. The catalysts were characterized by specific surface area measurements, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, line scan and map. In the results, obtained in the home made sample, the amount of carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides and hydrocarbons were lower than imported catalyst with Iran Khodro Company with nobel metals. The illustration shows nano particles size on coat. The microstructure evaluation showed that the improved properties can be related to the existence of nano particles on coating.

Abstract: 

Background: Hypertension is a common chronic disease with increasing prevalence worldwide. Regular close monitoring of blood pressure is key point of hypertension management. Home monitoring of blood pressure has its own problems such as lack of early access to a physician in case of emergency. In this study we have designed a device that could send the patient's self-measured blood pressure to physician.Case report: A 56 year old woman with a 6 year history of hypertension was enrolled to the study. After giving inFORmation about using the device, we gave it to her. With each use of device at home we received an SMS (Short Message Service) on patient's blood pressure that were coordinated with self-recorded blood pressures. This device consisted of a designed electronic board and installed components (such as programmed mobile board and micro controller) placed on the board and attached to a blood pressure measuring device. After pushing a button, the blood pressure was measured spontaneously and data shown on an LED monitor and sent through GSM (Global SYSTEM FOR Mobile Communication) by a sim card to the physician.Conclusion: This new device helps physicians to control patients’ blood pressure closely without any extra cost. Also using this device will decrease the rate of complicated hypertensive attacks.

Abstract: 

Background: Blood glucose controlling is a major issue in diabetes management. Many fluctuations in blood glucose level make the close controlling of glucose by physicians as one of the most important principles in diabetic patients managing.Methods: The case was a 58 y/o man with a history of 14 years old diabetes under insulin therapy. After inFORmed consult and description about using the device the instrument was given to him. The patient used the device 30 times in a week and we all received SMS of the recorded blood glucose inFORmation. FOR constructing the device first, printed circuit board (PCB) was designed and then electronic components (such as mobile board, micro controller and glucometer) and CNC work on the place were marked on the PCB. The installation and application were stored within the micro controller by a programmer. After pushing a button the needle of glucometer enters the skin. Data was sent through GSM (Global SYSTEM FOR Mobile Communication) by a SIM card to the physician and 5 relatives of patients and also was shown on a LED monitor implanted on electronic board.Conclusions: This new device helps physicians to control patients’ glucose closely without any admitting and extra cost. Also using this device will decrease the rate of complicated hypoglycemic and hyperglycemic attacks.

Abstract: 

In this project, the prototype production of catalyst converter FOR DUAL-FUEL AUTOMOBILES was studied. La (Pd, Co, Ce) O3 Perovskite catalyst was prepared by the citrate route without the use of Pt and Rh. The present researchers just used Pd (1.2 g) and deposited on ceramic monoliths according to a dipcoating procedure, used the catalyst on Rd car with XU7 engines, measured the amount of emission with (AVL) test at SAPCO Company, and compared the catalyst with imported catalysts of Iran Khodro Company. In the end, it was found out that Perovskite catalysts reduced emission better than the imported catalysts, and they do so at a lower price.Monoliths of catalysts were characterized by specific surface area measurements (BET), X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray fluorescence (XRF), and coat characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), LINE SCAN and MAP.

Abstract: 

This research is an attempt to study the economics of replacing the gasoline burning taxies with dual "gas-gasoline" burning taxies by analyzing the private and social benefits resulted by this replacement of fuel consumption. FOR this end a sample of Mashhad taxies with 423 taxies under study has been taken and the required inFORmation about the costs and benefits of this replacement has been obtained via questionnaire and the Equivalent UniFORm Annual Method has been employed FOR analyzing the collected data. The results of this research indicate that in 1388 the replacement of gasoline burning taxies with dual "gas-gasoline" burning taxies in private analysis have an interest as big as 2281700 Rials annually and in social analysis (with the assumption of having raise in the number of gas stations and arrive opportunity cost premised zero) an interest as big as 2757512 Rials is earned.
